More from the red carpet. The Academy Awards , one of the most prestigious events of the year. All our favourite celebs , strut their stuff down the red carpet , and I am sure , just as I did you sat glued to your TV or smart phone to check out all the glitz & glam.

Who nailed it and who missed it? White and greens seemed to be popular on the red carpet this year. Cate Blanchett and Naomi Watts were favourites in the custom Armani Prive Gowns. Lady Gaga , looked chic in white in a Brandon Maxwell design. For those of us who love the metallics -Margot Robbie looked striking in a super slinky snakeskin Tom Ford gown. Saoirse Ronan turned heads in a Calvin Klein emerald green sequin dress

Now for the fashion faux pas – Heidi Klum in a lavender chiffon gown , Kate Winslet’s shiny black strapless gown . Alicia Vikander looked a bit like Belle from Beauty and the Beast in a yellow bubble number. Lastly , Whoopi Goldberg looked dull in a black off the shoulder number , showing off her tatoo. Better luck next time ladies!
