The sketch that started it all: Dude Edition.
Fancy fashion drawings aren't just for the ladies you know. We thought you fellas might like to see where your threads started out too. Our menswear boutiques shared their initial design sketches, with photos of the finished pieces, so you can see exactly how the magic happened. Scroll yourself down to see the scoop.
“The Nyepi short is made in 9oz Yarn dye stripe cotton 'Ticking'. 'Ticking stripe' is a classic work wear fabric, so we've added an over printed pigment treatment to the fabric. This pair of shorts style is a mix between chinos for the jetted pockets, military, with inserted, self fabric panels at the inside leg, cut on the bias. The inside of the garment has had as much thought as the outside, using two contrast fabrics, one for the pocket bags and waist band one for the pocket bag piping.”
Mal Saints Row
“Men’s White round neck easy fit T-shirt. This design, inspired by various perceptions of future religion was first sketched in pencil then enhanced using pen and markers, later more paint was added and the canvas was inclined to allow the paint to run. Finally spray paint was used to complete the design with misty hues and white star like speckles”.
And Now Wee
“And Now Wee has always been excited about exploring historical figures with contemporary twists. Historic humour with firm British heritage lies at the heart of our Shakespeare design and should evoke a sense of fun and exploration. Enjoy!”
Piece: Multi-pocket Collectors Coat
“The coat was inspired by fisherman clothing and is made of a light weight waxed cotton with net detail on the back and chest”.
