Vintage in Stockholm with Luke Smith
Whilst Stockholm is known for it’s designer talent (Acne, anyone?!), it’s huge vintage scene isn’t to be ignored. Global brand scout Luke Smith got stuck in and visited the best vintage stores, reporting back to bring you his guide to vintage shopping in the Swedish capital.
Mangle Vintage is situated in the uber cool Stockholm district of Södermalm. It’s a small store, but has great on-trend stock that has been carefully curated. All garments are merchandised to make the shopping experience even easier, with clothes sitting together in trend collections. Here you’ll find great pieces for great prices, from vintage Wrangler to vintage Mulberry.
Grandpa vintage is again situated in the Södermalm district of Stockholm. This store mixes new products from the likes of Folk, Edwin, and Norse with unique vintage finds. You’ll want to drop by; it’s a great store with an even better atmosphere. The café next door called ‘i’l Café Soder’ seemed to be the go to coffee shop in Södermalm for the cool kids – so be sure to pop in for a little fika!
This store is a true vintage shop. Here you’ll find plenty of stock packed in, so it takes a bit of rummaging to hunt down the best pieces- but it’s totally worth it when you do! Lisa Larsson stocks women’s and men’s fashion from the ‘30s to the ‘70s, meaning there is something for everyone.
If you’re a ‘20s lover, be sure to drop by Old Touch. This store has a great selection of dresses and accessories, dating back to the 1900s. If you’re looking for something special for an event, they also hire out clothing and accessories – win!
