Behind the scenes autumn/winter collection
I started by collecting together inspiring images on a pintrest board! which you can see here-
http://www.pinterest.com/emawarren/grungevintage-photoshoot-inspiration/
I wanted a grunge/90s feel with lots of denim, camo, and leather mixed with lots of vintage embellishments, pretty lace details and accessorized with back packs, embellished beanies and chain jewellery!
Locations
The location was an important part of planning the shoot, so before hand I visited lots of different potential sites!
Models
I put out a model call on a few model sites such as model mayhem but also on here as a blog page and had lots of girls apply!
Styling
Before the shoot, I organised the garments into different looks and styles just to make it a little easier when on location.
Deciding on final Models
It was important to choose models that would fit the style we wanted to create , it was quite difficult as lots of girls applied but I think the girls we choose fitted very well in with the style and provided lots of different looks!
Model One – Charlotte Treasure
Model Two- Kayleigh Mattingly
Model Three- Claudia Graves
Make up
For the make up There were two make up artists Sophie Brice and Charlotte Smith , they created looks taken from inspiration on the pinterest board but also drawing colour from the outfits! The grunge style called for dark lips and eyes and natural waves in the hair with cute messy plaits!
Photography
I decided to do my own photography for this collection as I had a clear idea of the looks I wanted to achieve!
Shoot Day
Of course being England it rained ALL day! but luckily we found a nifty shelter to set up under for make up and changing which was all so very glamourous…! Some passers by even thought we were selling clothes!
However unglamourous behind the scenes I am so pleased with the final images!
Putting together collections for shoots is my favourite part about selling on ASOS marketplace! I enjoy creating a theme and creating the different looks I have in my head! which can be styled into a shoot for my boutique! This collection is made up of reworked vintage , new designs and carefully selected accessory’s!
If you want to follow the progress up until the next shoot then follow my instagram account emmawarrendesign as I post daily behind the scenes!
I hope you love this collection as much as I do! its hard to see some of these pieces sold and go off to a new home! as I love it all!!!
